Depok, November 13, 2025 — Institut SEBI held its 20th Graduation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 Academic Year on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Garuda Building, PPSDM Kemendikdasmen, Depok. The ceremony was led by Rector Sigit Pramono, Ph.D., CA., CPA., as Chair of the University Senate. This special event featured 171 graduates from various programs at Institut SEBI, themed “Intellectual Humanity: From Learning to Awakening.”
This year’s graduation was particularly meaningful as it coincided with the 27th anniversary of Institut SEBI, marking over a quarter-century of the institution’s commitment to cultivating knowledgeable, ethical, and impactful Muslim intellectuals. Bob Tyasika Ananta, Vice President of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI), was invited as a keynote speaker, addressing the theme “Strengthening the Role of University Graduates in Empowering Communities.”
In his address, Bob conveyed congratulations to all graduates and expressed high appreciation for the parents, guardians, and families who have been pivotal in supporting them throughout their academic journeys. “We must recognize that today’s academic success is not the end of the journey but rather a foundational tool for facing the increasingly complex and dynamic real-world challenges. Graduates are entering a world marked by global economic fluctuations, geopolitical tensions, and accelerating technological changes, including growing threats to cybersecurity,” stated Bob Tyasika Ananta.
During the ceremony, he introduced the concept of “The Economy of Eternity,” emphasizing that this principle of Islamic economics not only focuses on material well-being but also on blessings and the sustainability of good deeds. He underscored that the true value of wealth lies in the ongoing charitable acts, citing the words of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW): “When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three things: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child’s prayer.” (HR. Muslim)
Bob further elaborated that the philosophy of the Economy of Eternity serves as a crucial foundation for the Islamic banking industry to innovate continuously, expand services, and provide solutions that possess not only financial value but also social and spiritual dimensions.
Concluding his speech, Bob Tyasika Ananta shared three key messages for the graduates, encapsulated in the G-L-C framework:
- Growth: (Tumbuh dan Berkembang) — The world is constantly changing; be resilient, adaptive, and visionary.
- Learn: (Terus Belajar) — Graduation is not the end of learning; it is the beginning of a lifelong journey of education.
- Contribute: (Berkontribusi dan Memberi Manfaat) — Spread goodness through tangible actions, ideas, and innovations that benefit others.
This graduation ceremony served not only as an academic celebration but also as a moment of reflection to reaffirm Institut SEBI's commitment to producing a generation of Muslims who are character-driven, professional, and prepared to contribute to building a just and prosperous society, grounded in strong spiritual and moral values.
