Sekolah Tinggi Ekonomi Islam SEBI (STEI SEBI) has announced that three of its permanent lecturers have been selected to represent the institution in the lecturer certification (serdos) organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This announcement was made based on an official letter from the Ministry dated October 28, 2024.
Firmansyah, SEI, MM, representing the Chairman of STEI SEBI, extended congratulations and best wishes to the three lecturers: Addys Aldizar, Lc, M.A., Muammar Khadafi, M.A., and Pranoto Effendi, B.E, M.S.M. These lecturers have officially been designated as participants in the 2024 serdos by the Ministry of Religious Affairs RI.
"Alhamdulillah, this year there are three lecturers designated as participants in the 2024 serdos. This is certainly good news that we should be grateful for," said Firmansyah, SEI, MM., who also serves as the Head of the Islamic Banking Study Program.
The three STEI SEBI lecturers now join 4,888 lecturers nationwide, representing their respective campuses in the serdos. The certification activities will take place from November 25 to December 30, 2024.
In the previous year, STEI SEBI sent two permanent lecturers who successfully passed the certification, bringing the total number of certified permanent lecturers at STEI SEBI to 24. The increasing number of certified lecturers is expected to add value to the campus and its programs, as having many certified lecturers is a requirement for achieving superior accreditation.
Firmansyah also encouraged lecturers who have not yet been certified, saying, "For those who have not been certified, keep your spirits high and never give up. Insyaa Allah, there will still be opportunities in the coming years."
The Lecturer Certification (Serdos) is a process of awarding a teaching certificate from the state to lecturers at Islamic Higher Education Institutions, conducted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs RI. This process aims to assess and ensure the professionalism of lecturers in performing their duties as educators. Serdos has various significant benefits for lecturers, educational institutions, and the overall improvement of educational quality, such as enhancing lecturer quality, professional recognition, welfare, institutional accreditation, and encouraging professional development, ultimately expected to improve educational quality.
