The Journal of Islamic Accounting and Finance (JAKIs) has been awarded Sinta 3 accreditation, as per the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology No. 177/E/KPT/2024, dated October 15, 2024, regarding the accreditation ranking of scientific journals for the second period of 2024.
Managed by the Sharia Accounting Study Program at Sekolah Tinggi Ekonomi Islam (STEI) SEBI, JAKIs has been active since 2013 and has published articles up to Volume 12, Issue 2, in October 2024. The journal publishes two issues annually, in April and October.
Previously ranked Sinta 4, JAKIs has now achieved Sinta 3 accreditation, which will apply to articles published from Volume 11, Issue 1, 2023, through Volume 15, Issue 2, 2027.
Sinta (Science and Technology Index) is an online scientific portal managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, providing a list of accredited national journals. Accreditation ranks range from Sinta 1 to Sinta 6, with Sinta 1 being the highest for reputable national journals. This advancement from Sinta 4 to Sinta 3 signifies an improvement in the journal's quality and reliability.
Muhammad Asmeldi Firman, the Editor-in-Chief of JAKIs, stated that this achievement reflects the journal management's commitment to publishing high-quality research. He expressed gratitude to researchers who have chosen JAKIs as a platform for their publications.
“Congratulations on achieving Sinta 3 accreditation for the Journal of Islamic Accounting and Finance, Program Studi Akuntansi Syariah, STEI SEBI. This success is a testament to the consistency of the management, editors, and reviewers in publishing quality articles and the trust researchers place in this journal. We thank everyone involved and hope JAKIs continues to grow and improve its quality,” Asmeldi Firman said in an interview with the editorial team.
In response to this positive development, Sepky Mardian, the Managing Editor of JAKIs, invited researchers to submit and publish their manuscripts in the journal. “We encourage researchers to send and publish their manuscripts with us. We hope this journal can publish the best articles and enhance its accreditation in the future. Let’s build a substantial symbiotic collaboration between authors and the management of JAKIs,” Sepky stated in a release received by the editorial team.
