On May 7, 2025, the SEBI School of Islamic Economics launched its first Classical Learning Muslimpreneur Development program. This initiative focuses on building self-mastery and a growth mindset among Muslim entrepreneurs. The event featured successful entrepreneur Ii Holillah, who shared her insights and experiences, inspiring participants to develop their entrepreneurial skills while adhering to Islamic values.
The inaugural event featured an inspiring speaker, Ii Holillah, a successful Muslim entrepreneur known as the owner of two businesses: Medinafood, which operates in the halal culinary sector, and the sharia-compliant clothing brand Hijabelasyari. Her presence brought an inspiring atmosphere and real-life experiences that motivated the participants.
In her presentation, Ii Holillah emphasized the importance of self-mastery as a fundamental foundation for building resilient entrepreneurial character. “A Muslimpreneur must be able to control themselves before they can manage their business. Live your life with awareness,” she stated clearly in front of dozens of students present.
Not stopping at self-introduction, the second session continued with an in-depth discussion about the growth mindset, a crucial concept in modern business. Ii Holillah stressed that the biggest challenges lie not in the market, but in the mindset that limits an individual's potential.
This program is a significant part of the Muslimpreneur Development Program, which is an intensive initiative for selected STEI SEBI students. Throughout the event, participants appeared enthusiastic, actively discussing and asking questions about starting a business while maintaining integrity as Muslims. Ii Holillah readily shared practical tips and her personal experiences of building a business from scratch to owning two rapidly growing brands in the Muslim market.
With the launch of the Classical Learning Muslimpreneur Development Program, STEI SEBI is once again demonstrating progressive steps in entrepreneurship-based Islamic economic education. This program is expected to be a platform for the emergence of a new generation of resilient, visionary, and ethical Muslim entrepreneurs.
