Depok, July 11, 2025 — The Business Management Study Program at SEBI Institute successfully held a public lecture titled “The Power of Local Wisdom: Strategies for Young Leaders to Revitalize Local Economies” on Friday morning (July 11) at SEBI Hall, SEBI Institute, Depok. The event attracted 100 participants, including students, faculty, and special guests.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn recitation of the Al-Qur'an, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem and the SEBI Mars. The official welcome was delivered by the Rector of SEBI Institute, Sigit Pramono, Ph.D., CA., CPA, who emphasized the importance of local wisdom values in shaping impactful young leadership for economic and community development.

The keynote speaker, South Halmahera Regent Hasan Ali Bassam Kasuba, S.Pd.I., M.I.Kom, delivered an engaging and inspiring lecture. Before the lecture began, participants watched a video showcasing South Halmahera's cultural richness, natural potential, and ongoing development programs.

In his presentation, he outlined various strategies for local economic development based on regional potentials and urged students to become agents of change in their respective communities. “Indonesia is entering a demographic bonus period. We can leverage the potential of the next generation to boost economic growth,” he stated.

As a gesture of appreciation and to strengthen institutional ties, a ceremonial exchange of souvenirs took place between SEBI Institute and the South Halmahera Government, marked by a symbolic handover and a group photo. The event continued with a special performance by Banyu Angklung, featuring a musical angklung show. Banyu is an alumnus of SEBI, graduating in 2017 from the Sharia Accounting program.

The event concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the South Halmahera Government and SEBI Institute, focusing on collaboration in education, research, and community service. The agreement was signed by Regent Hasan Ali Bassam Kasuba, S.Pd.I., M.I.Kom, and Rector Sigit Pramono, Ph.D., CA., CPA.
