Depok, August 29, 2025 – Transparent and accountable financial management is an urgent need for foundations, pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), and Islamic schools in the modern era. To enhance capacity and address the financial governance needs of Islamic educational institutions, IAI SEBI organized a Training on Financial Report Preparation for Foundations, Pesantren, and Islamic Schools, encouraging active participation from participants across regions, including foundation managers, pesantren administrators, and administrative staff from Islamic schools.
This training featured a competent speaker, Nasiha Sakina Ramadhanikar, S.Akun., M.E., an academic and practitioner in nonprofit accounting with extensive experience in financial support for educational institutions. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of standardizing financial reports based on PSAK (Financial Accounting Standards Statement) as a form of professionalism and an effort to build public trust in foundations and Islamic schools.
“Financial reports are not just a formality; they are instruments for achieving accountability and transparency. Islamic educational institutions need to demonstrate organized, measurable, and accountable financial management to the community,” explained Nasiha Sakina.
Participants gained an understanding of:
- Principles of accounting for nonprofit entities.
- Preparation of financial reports for foundations and Islamic schools in accordance with PSAK.
- Practices of transparency and accountability in fund management.
- Tips for facing administrative and financial audit challenges in Islamic educational institutions.
The two-hour event was attended by dozens of participants from various regions. They actively engaged in discussions and posed relevant questions regarding financial reporting practices in their respective institutions. With this training, participants are expected to be able to prepare more structured, professional financial reports that can enhance public trust in Islamic educational institutions.
“This training opened our eyes to how financial reports for foundations are not just administrative tasks, but also a means to build trust,” stated one participant. This event serves as concrete evidence of IAI SEBI's commitment to enhancing the financial management capacity of Islamic institutions in Indonesia. The organizers expressed high appreciation to the speaker for the knowledge and experience shared, as well as to all participants for their active involvement. The organizers also apologized for any shortcomings in the delivery or technical aspects of the event, hoping that this training would mark the beginning of broader collaboration in the future.
