Depok, November 13, 2025 — Institut SEBI celebrated its 20th graduation ceremony in a spirit of gratitude, coinciding with the institution's 25th anniversary in the field of Islamic higher education.
The ceremony took place at the Garuda Building, PPSDM Kemendikdasmen, presided over by the Rector of Institut SEBI, Sigit Pramono, Ph.D., CA., CPA., as the Chair of the University Senate. This special event featured 171 graduates from four study programs, revolving around the theme “Intellectual Humanity: From Learning to Awakening.”
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Bob Tyasika Ananta, Vice President of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI), Dr. M. Asmeldi Firman, Ak., M.M., C., BKP, Chair of Yayasan Bina Tsaqofah, Dr. Asgaft Asy Syad Rasyid, SEI. M.Si, Chair of ISAS (Ikatan Silaturahim Alumni SEBI), along with representatives from various donor institutions.
Dr. Sepky Mardian, S.E.I., M.M., SAS., Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, opened the academic report during the open session, congratulating the graduates who officially earned their degrees in Accounting, Economics, and Law. “Congratulations, and may Allah's blessings always be with you. As you graduate today, you proudly carry the title of Bachelor, a source of pride for yourselves and your families,” stated Dr. Sepky.
He further added that this joyous occasion marked the successful graduation of 171 students, with the breakdown as follows: 31 graduates from the Syariah Accounting Program, 29 from the Syariah Banking Program, 86 from the Business Management Program, and 25 from the Islamic Economic Law Program. With this year’s graduates, the total number of alumni from Institut SEBI has reached 2,854, many of whom are actively working in various fields, particularly in finance, banking, and Islamic business.
Among this year’s graduates, 43 achieved cum laude honors. Additionally, 107 students graduated in seven semesters, while 43 took eight semesters, resulting in an impressive 88% on-time graduation rate. This figure marks an increase from the previous year, with hopes for even better outcomes in the future. According to academic data, 119 graduates (approximately 70%) secured employment before the graduation ceremony.
“They are contributing across various Islamic financial institutions, philanthropic organizations, and both government and private sectors,” Dr. Sepky noted. He also highlighted student achievements over the past five years, with SEBI students earning 110 accolades at regional and international levels in both academic and non-academic fields. Furthermore, they have published 71 scientific works over the last five years, comprising 16% at the international level and 84% nationally.
These accomplishments affirm Institut SEBI's commitment to its vision of becoming a distinguished and competitive Islamic institution. Moving forward, Institut SEBI will continue to strengthen its tridharma programs through enhancing faculty capacity and contributions from the academic community.

The knowledge gained during your education at Institut SEBI should bring blessings, benefit the community, the nation, and serve as ongoing charity that continues to yield rewards. A highlight of this graduation ceremony was a captivating modern angklung performance by one of the alumni. The harmonious melodies created a warm and joyful atmosphere amidst the heartfelt graduation moments. Additionally, all attendees, including graduates, faculty, and invited guests, were invited to play the angklung together, transforming the atmosphere into one filled with enthusiasm and unity, embodying the values of ukhuwah and collaboration that are hallmarks of the Institut SEBI family.
This graduation not only served as an academic celebration but also as a reflective moment to reaffirm Institut SEBI's commitment to nurturing a generation of Muslims who are character-driven, professional, and prepared to contribute to building a just and prosperous society grounded in strong spiritual and moral values.
