Four STEI SEBI Students Intern at Bank Muamalat Indonesia
Four final-year students from the Islamic Banking program at STEI SEBI have commenced their MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) internship at Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI), specifically at the Depok and Sawangan branches. The students—Muhammad Farhan Maulana, Aisyah Yunita, Ihdina Isra Azana, and Muhammad Izzudin Ramadhan—are currently in their seventh semester.
This semester-long internship, part of the collaboration between STEI SEBI and Bank Muamalat Indonesia, is designed to provide students with firsthand experience in understanding and engaging in the operations of Islamic banking.
Firmansyah, SEI., MM, the head of the Islamic Banking program, emphasized the program's goal of equipping students with practical knowledge relevant to the workforce in the Islamic banking sector. "Through the MBKM internship, students are expected to gain actual work experience at an Islamic bank. Moreover, they will acquire essential practical skills that will serve them well after graduating from STEI SEBI," he stated.
During their internship, the students will participate in a range of activities, including customer service, administrative management, and in-depth understanding of Islamic banking products. Under the guidance of professionals at Bank Muamalat, they are anticipated to sharpen their work skills while broadening their insights into the Islamic finance industry.
This partnership with Bank Muamalat Indonesia reaffirms STEI SEBI's commitment to preparing outstanding graduates ready to tackle the challenges of the workforce. The program also represents a strategic initiative to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice, enabling students to better adapt to professional environments.
The MBKM internship at BMI exemplifies the fruitful collaboration between academia and industry aimed at cultivating a generation of skilled and competitive professionals in the Islamic banking sector.
