A group of 5 students from the Sharia Economic Law Study Program (Prodi HES) Class of 2021 at the SEBI Islamic Economics College (STEI SEBI) in Depok organized a field study activity to the Zakat Sukses LAZ (Zakat Management Institution) in Depok with the theme "FGD on Zakat Outreach Literacy". The activity was carried out on Friday, July 15, 2024.

The students who participated in the activity were members of HES2021 class group 3, consisting of Hidayat Nur Halid Ohoirenan, Ikbal Maulana, Muhammad Hasan, Yesha Avkira Nufus, and Nuraidah Fitriah. They discussed and listened attentively to the explanation from the Zakat Sukses LAZ representatives.

Hidayat Nur Halid Ohoirenan, as the coordinator of the implementation, stated that this activity was organized in order to fulfill the assignment for the course "Fiqh of BAZ & LAZ Management and Products" as well as to improve the students' competence in managing zakat.

"This activity is a way provided by the lecturer for us to learn how to manage zakat, starting from the process of collecting, distributing, and empowering zakat funds, as well as what programs are used by the zakat management institution (BAZ) or the zakat collection institution (LAZ), especially the collection and distribution programs at the Zakat Sukses LAZ," said Hidayat in a press release received.
